May will mark our fourth birthday. We are inviting you to celebrate with us at the Black Swan on Saturday 27th May from 6pm.

Four Years of Forge Zine is a unique opportunity to experience York’s finest creative talent. You will be exposed to only the best upcoming creative people in and around York who will be delivering entertainment in the form of poetry, music, dance and more.

This variety night will be a golden opportunity to experience the upcoming local talent in York, as well as feeling more connected and in tune with the local community. We invite you to spend a cultured night with us in a traditionally wonky York pub!

You will be a part of an intimate audience who enjoys experiencing new and different forms of creativity.

We advise this to be an over 16s event due to some of the topics which may be addressed. However, we will happily welcome under 16s who are accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Purchase your tickets now while spaces last for only £5 in the products section of our website.

On Sunday 19th March 2023 we were invited by York Literature Festival to partake in their event Say Yes to The Small Press. It took place at Hungate Reading Rooms. It was a drop-in fair highlighting local publishing talent. It's completely free – just pop in, mingle, listen to performances and chat with us and other presses. We will be joined by the wonderful Scran Press, Stairwell Books, Whimsical Publishing Press, Ram Eye Press, Ergi Press, Bitterleaf Books, Acid Bath Publishing and Missive Mag, amongst others. More information can be found at the York Literature Festival website.
